Lordswood got their first pre-season friendly under their belt with a 2-0 defeat at home to Ryman Premier side Horsham. Despite the scoreline boss Jason Lillis wasn't downbeat as he gave several new faces a run out for the first time at Martyn Grove. Chances were few and far between for the Lords and with usual frontmen Richard Dimmock and Dominic Elmes both away they struggled to make a real impact upfront. Marc Morrison had Lordswood's best chance when he found himself unmarked in the box but powered his header straight at the keeper. A goal in each half sealed the game for Horsham, but most importantly it's match practice for the Lords, and the friendlies will be coming thick and fast over the next 10 days with another 4 games scheduled
