FIRST CLASS LORDS VICTORIOUS IN VASE
Lordswood recorded a fine 1-0 win in the FA Vase today (Saturday) in a game that they dominated from start to finish. Welcoming back Richard Dimmock from injury and handing debuts to Rob Denness and Jason Long, Lordswood looked more assured and confident than their opponents and bossed the match. Denness could have had a couple of goals on his debut, being foiled by the Selsey keeper on two separate occasions, whilst Stephen Elliot rocketed a shot against the bar, and Dimmock and Long both had good chances to score. It was Peter Huggens who eventually scored for the Lords, heading home Chris Eather's long throw from 8 yards. Lordswood now face Sussex side Southwick at home in the next round on Saturday 18th September
